Celebrate the outdoors with a new family adventure!

Thanks to a generous donation from the Calgary Parks Foundation your family has many choices of activities to choose from that you can enjoy free of charge.

Go on a snowshoe adventure in the mountains or enjoy a sunny weekend on a family scootering trip at a local Calgary park.  Enjoy a game of ball hockey while enjoying the Cedarbrae Community Centre grounds or a leisurely walk in nature for some bird watching is what you prefer.

All items are available to use free of charge.

Adventures In Cedarbrae – Scooter Fun

***Please note:  The Cedarbrae Community Centre does not loan safety equipment.  You are responsible for providing appropriate safety equipment while using these scooters.***

Have some family fun and explore your community by borrowing a Hudora Adult or Razor kids kick scooter from the Cedarbrae Community Centre.

Go on a scooter adventure and explore the great parks Calgary has to offer or have some fun on the Cedarbrae Community Centre grounds.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Calgary Parks Foundation, these scooters are made available for families to use free of charge!

Reserve your scooter for pick up from the Cedarbrae Community Centre on a Thursday and return it the following Tuesday for the next family to enjoy.  Government issued photo ID is required at pick up.

A deposit of $50.00/scooter is required.  Deposit is waived for holders of an active Cedarbrae Community Assocation membership as of April 1, 2021.   A maximum of 4 scooters is available to reserve at one time. Please contact the Cedarbrae Community Centre directly if you require more.

Adventures In Cedarbrae – Bird Watching Bonanza

Do you want to enjoy the day exploring nature?  Why not go on an adventure in the various parks in Calgary or for a mountain trek with our Bird Bonanza! 

Borrow some Tasco 10×25 binoculars from the Cedarbrae Community Centre and set out on your bird watching (or any animal you want) adventure.  Bird Watching scavenger hunt sheets are provided!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Calgary Parks Foundation, these binoculars are made available for families to use free of charge! 

Reserve your Bird Watching Kit for pick up from the Cedarbrae Community Centre on a Thursday and return the binoculars the following Tuesday for the next family to enjoy.  Government issued photo ID is required at pick up.

Adventures In Cedarbrae – Snowshoeing Adventures

Enjoy the last winter has to offer with a family snowshoeing adventure by borrowing snowshoes from the Cedarbrae Community Centre.

Visit the still snowy mountains and enjoy an outdoor adventure day!

Reserve your snowshoes for pick up from the Cedarbrae Community Centre on a Thursday and return it the following Tuesday for the next family to enjoy.  Government issued photo ID is required at pick up.

A deposit of $25.00/set of snowshoes is required.  Deposit is waived for members in good standing of the Cedarbrae Community League Association.   A maximum of 4 pairs of snowshoes is available to reserve at one time. Please contact the Cedarbrae Community Centre directly if you require more.

Adventures In Cedarbrae – Family Street Hockey

Bring your hockey sticks and have some family fun with a game of household ball hockey at the Cedarbrae Community Centre this spring. 

Thanks to a generous grant from the Calgary Parks Foundation, hockey nets area available for families to reserve and use free of charge.

Daily 2 hour time slots are available to choose from.  Hockey nets are located on the north side of the community centre.

Please note:  All current public health orders will be strictly enforced.

Due to Covid-19 the community centre is unable to loan hockey sticks or balls at this time.  Please bring your own to use.
